Cairo: around town.

The British Club in Zamalek - felt like we were going out in the US or the UK. Mostly foreigners. You have to buy a card for 50 or 100 Egyptian pounds and just use that at the bar instead of cash. It helpfully reminds you on the back to remove it from your pockets before you do your laundry - helpful, that is, if you remember on your own to go through your pockets, find the card, and read the back telling you to go through your pockets.

View from the balcony of the apartment I stayed in my last week.

One of the big, grassy street dividers that people hang out on.

Another illustrated cigarette warning.

I didn't see a single squirrel in Cairo, but the man on this scooter apparently feels that they're a threat.
